Ava Wilds

Singer-songwriter

Rumor has it that ever since she could form sentences, Ava Wilds has been telling anyone willing to listen that she would grow up to be a singer. Drawing on inspiration from artists like Kacey Musgraves, Joni Mitchell, and Taylor Swift, she has combined singing with songwriting to develop her own unique style—a blend of country, folk, and pop. Ava’s character is evident in every project and performance, driven by love, empathy, and authenticity. Her original lyrics are infused with

playfulness and raw emotion. Simply put, I look for the magic in the world.”

Growing up, the value of helping others was instilled in Ava. Today, she sees performing and songwriting as more than a form of self-expression and storytelling—it is an opportunity to help someone feel connected.

Ava’s latest single, Shipwrecked, is a song written about her personal experience with sexual harassment, encountered during her first semester of college. It led her to take a leave of absence the following semester, choosing to spend that time with family, work at a coffee shop, and write songs. During what turned out to be a much needed healing period, she returned to a hook she had written that first semester: "Sometimes fear steers your ship to safety, and sometimes it steers you till you’re shipwrecked." Writing Shipwrecked proved to be one of the most empowering and emotional experiences, helping her find the strength to let go, yet never forget.
