The Leftovers
Singer-soon-to-be-songwriter duo
The Leftovers is the best-friend duo you never knew you needed, more than musicians, these two will have you singing, laughing, and asking to know more.
Sneha Sharma and Jenna Vidal first crossed paths in middle school, but despite being in the same chorus for years, didn’t call themselves friends until later. This is when they "eventually just started singing together, all the time." Now? They’re inseparable, from being pulled apart by their ninth grade Chinese teacher for being too chatty, to now, studying the same major, transferring colleges together, and literally living together.
Their culmination as The Leftovers and debut single, Kids Again, has been a long time coming, but they never knew where to start. The Music Business program at the University of Georgia provided them with the knowledge, resources and final push to finally commit to the project, and put their new found skills in recording and production to use.
“We decided it was the right time and went for it!”
In the process of deciding on a song to cover, both members seemed to be drawn to the song they performed back in their senior year of high school in chorus camp. After a long process, full of learning curves (and two recording days turned sick days), they wrapped up production and got a master downloaded only a week before the release date. No one says it better than them, “against all odds, The Leftovers prosper.”
What's next? The two hope to embark on the journey of songwriting as a duo and continue pushing themselves as artists and musicians.
